Palais Hansen Kempinski Vienna

Historic and luxurious Ringstrasse palace with Viennese charm! Classic, elegant and comfortable - you can't get more Viennese than this.

7 June 2020

You get out of the taxi. In front of you is the listed Palais, once designed by the famous Viennese architect Theophil Edvard Hansen and part of Vienna's famous Ringstrasse. Admittedly, anyone booking into a hotel run by Europe's oldest luxury hotel group has high expectations. But the Palais Hansen Kempinski Vienna not only meets them, it exceeds them. The building was built as a hotel on the occasion of the 1873 World's Fair, but was never used as such. Since 2013, the jewel in the first district has finally lived up to its purpose as a luxury hotel and proudly bears the name of its architect, who incidentally also designed the parliament, the former stock exchange and the Musikverein building, among others.

At the Palais Hansen Kempinski Vienna, historic architecture and neoclassical elements blend with modern interiors, 5-star superior luxury and typical Viennese charm.

Luxury in every detail

Classic, elegant and comfortable. This is how you could describe the rooms and suites of the Palais Hansen Kempinski Vienna. The walls are hung with artworks depicting scenes from Vienna's ballet and music culture, setting the mood for the diverse art and cultural programme that awaits you in the city on the Danube. The tablet entertainment system gives you uncomplicated access to all information and you can easily place an order with room service or book in for a soothing treatment at Kempinski The Spa. If you are looking for something extra luxurious, you can opt for the largest Presidential Suite in the city and enjoy exclusively appointed 320 mwith amenities such as a conservatory with a vertical plant wall, a piano in the living room and a luxurious bathroom overlooking the ring road.

Austrian classics & unusual cocktail creations in a relaxed atmosphere

Speaking of enjoyment: This is of course not neglected at the Palais Hansen Kempinski Vienna. Both the restaurant "Die Küche Wien", where modern Austrian dishes await you, and the restaurant "EDVARD", which has been awarded a Michelin star and 16 Gault&Millau points and serves Alpine-Mediterranean specialities, will spoil discerning palates. An absolute highlight awaits you in the oven: several times a day, apple strudel is served oven-warm according to an original Viennese recipe in perhaps the most beautiful living room in the city. The Cocktail address for insiders is the hotel bar "26° EAST", which serves drinks inspired by countries along the 26th degree of longitude east. It's worth planning more than one evening to sample the delicious and original creations. It's not for nothing that Falstaff magazine has named the bar a Hotel Bar of the Year 2019 and the bar manager David Penker as most innovative bartenders of the year 2019 excellent!
