Mediterranean time out in beautiful Andalusia
Reopening of the Golf & Spa Resort Finca Cortesin.
19 April 2021
The Wanderlust grows and we want to fulfil last year's travel dreams as soon as possible. The Golf & Spa Resort Finca Cortesin in the south of Spain is one exquisite retreat that should not be missing on the bucket list. The Mediterranean oasis reopened for its guests on 25 March 2021 and offers maximum privacy and the highest safety standards; the perfect place to do something good for body, mind and soul.
Retreat amidst beautiful nature
Finca Cortesin is Andalucia's best-kept secret. Sophistication, exclusivity and privacy have always been key to the success of the Golf & Spa Resort. Set on 215 hectares of land with over 23,000 square meters of manicured gardens, this oasis in the midst of nature offers breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea. Built around two main courtyards, the luxury resort boasts 67 suites with four-metre-high ceilings, ranging from 50 to 180 square metres. With six upscale restaurants, three large outdoor swimming pools, and an indoor one, social distancing is naturally guaranteed. Wellness amenities include a 2,000-square-foot spa offering European and Asian treatments, as well as the ARANĪ Yoga & Meditation Center.
Hygiene and safety standards
For the reopening on March 25, 2021, the team at Finca Cortesin always made sure to provide the highest level of hygiene in all service areas to ensure guests' safety and comfort throughout their stay. The team personalises all experiences for the guest and checks all necessary information in advance to minimise on-site contact. Alongside these measures, a 24-hour concierge is available via Facetime to attend to all guest needs around the clock. Strict hygiene and cleaning protocols are adhered to at all times. In addition to existing standards, a new disinfection process is applied to all surfaces using ozone machines and UV techniques. The resort can also provide PCR Covid-19 testing for its guests upon request. For this, trained nursing staff is on-site, and test results are available within 48 hours.
Privileged plots to stay on
Located on the opposite side of the hotel, the five "La Reserva de Cortesin" villas, which have already existed since the opening in 2009, offer a personal retreat in a class of its own. Three further private villas - the "Green Ten" villas - have been integrated in 2018 on individual plots on a steep slope between holes nine and ten of the golf course. From there, guests benefit from privileged views of the course, the Sierra Bermeja and the crashing waves of the Mediterranean. While guests feel at home in the "La Reserva de Cortesin" private villas in two or four bedrooms, the "Green Ten" villas each have five bedrooms - ideally suited for holidays with family and friends. The modern and bright Mediterranean-style villas are fully equipped with first-class kitchens and sound systems. Guests can relax by the private pool and on the spacious terraces and enjoy the indoor and outdoor dining areas.
New highlights after renovation
Finca Cortesin has used the period of closure to carry out some renovations to offer guests new experiences. With the new Josper Grill in the pool restaurant, the luxury resort presents a new open-air kitchen concept: guests can look forward to a daily market menu with the freshest products, all prepared on a Josper Basque grill and a Kamado stone grill. In addition, renowned Spanish decorator Lorenzo Castillo has redesigned the interior of Finca Cortesin.
