Where culinary delights, classy accommodations and indulgence meet.

21 January 2021

Switzerland has always been one of the most popular places to enjoy a luxurious ski holiday in a dreamlike alpine ambience. Currently, the noble holiday must still wait a little, but until it is so far, we sweeten you with a few fulminanten impressions from the Switzerland the day.

Wherever you look, Switzerland comes up trumps with superlatives. However, it's not just about the exclusive Skiing pleasure. Here also the history and the good air are thrown into the balance.

What for a winter holiday in the Switzerland speaks? No other Alpine country has as many peaks above the 4,000-metre mark as the small Alpine state. It is therefore obvious that the Swiss ski resorts are located at a comparably high altitude and can score with snow reliability and excellent piste conditions.

The most beautiful hotels in Switzerland

Let the luxury charm of Switzerland seduce you and inspire you for a holiday in the future. Here you will find the four most beautiful hotels in Switzerland.

Hotel Suvretta House

Via Chasellas 1, 7500 St. Moritz, Switzerland

suvrettahouse.ch

The Suvretta culture is something like a touch of "Merry Old England" - traditions, especially of a British nature, are upheld here. To this day, for example, the gentlemen in the "Grand Restaurant" dine in dark suits and ties. The hotel is set in parkland in the middle of the Suvretta-Corviglia area, just two kilometres from St. Moritz. What's more, a private ski lift right by the hotel takes winter sports enthusiasts to the valley station of the Suvretta chairlift. The luxury hotel, which resembles a fairytale castle, is also hard to beat in terms of cuisine: In the evening, chef Fabrizio Zanetti celebrates his half-board menu at 16-point Gault&Millau level in the "Grand Restaurant". From € 616 per person in a double room with half board.

The luxury hotel resembles a fairytale castle and also has a lot to offer in terms of culinary delights.

Hotel Gstaad Palace

Palacestrasse 28, 3780 Gstaad, Switzerland

Reminiscent of a fairytale castle, it is one of the last owner-managed hotels of its kind, with Andrea Scherz, who was awarded "Hotel Director of the Year 2019", at the helm. The hotel is one of the most famous hotels in Switzerland - partly because of its first-class service and upscale cuisine. The latter is the stomping ground of Franz W. Faeh. The Executive Chef at the "Gstaad Palace" and international top chef gives the "Palace" cuisine wings - as "Culinary Director" he systematically transforms the gastronomic concept . From € 666,-, per person in a double room with Culinary Credit, open from 21. 12. 2020.

The hotel is one of the most famous in Switzerland.

Hotel Mont Cervin Palace

Bahnhofstrasse 31, 3920 Zermatt, Switzerland

montcervinpalace.ch

The "Mont Cervin Palace" sees itself as part of Zermatt and the village in the Valais as part of itself - hotel and village join hands here. Zermatt is car-free - but there is a lot of peace, clear air, mountain idyll and - at least from some of the rooms of the "Mont Cervin Palace" - a view of the Matterhorn. Another great advantage of the luxury hotel in Zermatt is that everyone can find the style of furnishing they want. Whether "chalet style" or "alpine style" - the offer has something suitable for every taste. The same applies to culinary matters: With the "Wine & Dine offer" you can choose from over 17 restaurants and bars in Zermatt. But you already have a choice even at the "Mont Cervin Palace" - between the "Grill le Cervin", which has been awarded 14 Gault&Millau points and where meat specialities are grilled, and the "Gourmet Dining" at "Le Restaurant." From € 553,- per person in a double room.

The luxuriously designed rooms of the Mont Cervin Palace leave nothing to be desired.

Due to the Corona, most clubs in Switzerland will probably be closed this winter. For the time after that, the "el paradiso Mountain Club" above St. Moritz proves to be a hot party tip - a limited number of members are reserved for culinary highlights paired with a high-quality set-up.
