What would winter be without its winter sports? Even if we have to do without it at the moment, that doesn't mean we can't get some inspiration for our next ski holiday. One of the top ski addresses in Austria is Ischgl.
A skiing area like no other: Active holidaymakers can draw from the full range here. Ischgl stands for modernity, innovation and technical progress, paired with boundless fun in the snow.
Perfectly groomed slopes. Perfectly groomed cross-country ski trails. Untouched deep snow slopes for freeriders and powder lovers. Toboggan runs for the speed-hungry. Fine dining to enjoy as well as huts with authentic Paznaun charm. The wish list for a winter holiday can be fulfilled in the best possible way in Ischgl. 239 kilometres of pistes, which can be "conquered" with 45 mountain railways and lifts, guarantee sporting action from the end of November to the beginning of May - and absolute snow guarantee. 515 hectares of pistes mean 730 football pitches that winter fans can ski downhill. Ischgl, situated in a sun-drenched high valley between the Silvretta and Verwall groups, is the gateway to one of Tyrol's largest and best-known winter sports regions with its 1600 inhabitants.

Only one piste, the red number 42, leads there from an altitude of 2812 metres to the Vesil and on to the Gampenalp. Another highlight is the gigantic and extremely extensive freeride area that extends all the way to the Fimba Valley. Conclusion: a rush of happy hormones!
