Double star power for tourism

Swiss tennis star Roger Federer is Switzerland Tourism's new brand ambassador and is doing his job proud. Because to attract holidaymakers to the Alpenland he asks Hollywood star Robert DeNiro for help. Together, the two superstars stand in front of the camera and present the beauty of the country in a short film.
Double star power for Switzerland
The short film shows Federer talking to DeNiro via video chat and trying to convince him of a great new film project to be shot in the Alpine country. But the Oscar winner declines with thanks. Not because he doesn't like the country, but because there is simply nothing wrong with it. "Switzerland is just too perfect," says DeNiro. And since he needs drama and dangerous situations for his acting skills, he unfortunately can't visit the great country. The actor concludes by saying, "Maybe you should call Hanks"....
Roger Federer as brand ambassador
Roger Federer is delighted with his new role as brand ambassador for Switzerland Tourism. "I can invite people to Switzerland and show them its beauty because I am very proud to come from such a beautiful country. The short film featuring the two stars, which was shot in Zermatt and New York last autumn, can be viewed online worldwide. "By giving our campaign this touch of Hollywood, we will be able to draw even more attention to Switzerland and its dramatically beautiful nature," says Martin Nydegger, CEO of Switzerland Tourism.
