URBAN LOFT Cologne opens as the first hotel of the new Althoff brand
New opening for "open minds".
22 September 2020
Anyone who experiences URBAN LOFT immediately senses: this is where wanderlust meets neighbourliness: on the former site of one of the city's best-known breweries, in what is probably the most Cologne of all Veedels Eigelstein and with a view of the cathedral - this is where the first URBAN LOFT is at home. The newly opened URBAN LOFT Cologne has 213 rooms, but it is more than just a hotel. There is always something going on in the open space area "Loft": a curated combination of URBAN FOOD, lounge and co-working space. Not a classic lobby, but an open stage for pop-up stores and exhibitions. A place for creative exchange and inspiration.
Local and cosmopolitan
Sustainable, cosmopolitan and typically Cologne - that's URBAN LOFT Cologne. The partner for the LOCAL COFFEE BAR is SCHAMONG, the oldest coffee roasting company in the cathedral city. Sweet treats are available from the popular confectionery TörtchenTörtchen from next door. Cologne's unpackaged food store Veedelskrämer is opening a pop-up store. URBAN FOOD also combines Rhenish specialties with flavors from around the world. "I am very proud, together with my team, to now show Cologne and the whole world the URBAN LOFT Cologne," explains MihoRadic, host of URBAN LOFT Cologne. "With our loft, not just a hotel opens, but an extraordinary place, a temporary home and a central meeting point - for locals and for travelers from all over the world."
