Grace and beauty

The Amauris, famous for its black and white wings, served as inspiration for the design concept of the new luxury boutique hotel in Vienna. "Explore Beauty" is the motto. The Opera Suite, for instance, is 120 square meters in size and includes a balcony, facing the Ringstrasse. The materials used in this luxury hotel are luxurious as well - 160 tons of the finest marble from Carrara, and lots of black and white detail.

The impressive staircase, the historic elevator, the ornate stucco, and the facade were renovated from the ground up. However, these important details were retained in their original form. The two-year renovation and redesign was realized by Viennese architects HOPPE + PARTNER ZT GmbH and Zagreb interior designer Nikola Arambašić. Ringstrasse flair in combination with modern facilities create a unique flair in the building that was built in 1860.

Gourmet restaurant "Glasswing"

Another detail in The Amauris Vienna is inspired by the world of butterflies. The transparent wings of the "Glasswing" are visually reflected within the large doors and windows. These can be opened completely, from the gourmet restaurant on the first floor all the way to the outdoor area. Alexandru Simon is in charge of both, the bistro and the restaurant.

A 7-course gourmet menu with wine, or a wide selection of à la carte dishes are available at the restaurant from Tuesday to Saturday. It is open daily for breakfast as well. During the day, Glasswing Bistro & Bar opens in time for lunch. Austrian-inspired with a Mediterranean touch, using local ingredients, that is the concept. The wine list includes 350 wines from all over the world. Guests can fully trust bartender Maximilian Wölle with his selections.

Spa experience in the Danube metropolis

After an exciting day of sightseeing, the indoor pool provides a lovely opportunity to relax. The glass roof opens and the gorgeous view of the starry night sky is an incredible detail to enjoy a night swim to. Finnish sauna, steam bath, cosmetics, and a modern gym are available as well.

"The essential thing is the personal touch we want to offer our guests. They should feel as if they are in a living room of a Viennese Ringstrasse palace," says Nicole Zandt. The general manager of The Amauris Vienna enthuses further, "We are proud to have created a new, fine, small urban hideaway in a perfect location between the State Opera and Musikverein." But "The Amauris Vienna" is not to be the end of the story. Because Breiteneder Immobilien Parking AG is already planning further houses in Italy and Croatia.
