Aman Venice goes Teppanyaki: exclusive pop-up at Palazzo Papadopoli
The Aman Venice is hosting a teppanyaki pop-up at The Palazzo Kitchen Table in June. Star chef Koji Aïda is responsible for the live Japanese kitchen, while Masashi Kawaguchi, who will take over The Palazzo in October, cooks live.

It is one of the eight monumental palazzi of the Lagoon City. The Palazzo Papadopoli on the Grand Canal, now known as Aman Venice, is a shining beacon for luxury travellers. Rococo artwork meets modern elegance from the pen of designer Jean-Michel Gathy. From October 2022, guests can look forward to the next highlight: Masashi Kawaguchi will take the helm of The Palazzo Kitchen Table.

Before that, those who can decide spontaneously still have the opportunity to convince themselves of Kawaguchi's cooking skills already in June: Between 20 and 26 June, the Japanese-born makes a guest appearance at the Aman Venice and introduces Japanese cuisine via the temporary Teppanyaki Pop-up in the Palazzo Kitchen. A look behind the cooking scenes and the idyllic garden included!

Teppanyaki à la Koji Aïda
The menu at Teppanyaki was created by leading Teppan chef Koji Aïda, owner of the Paris restaurant of the same name and former mentor of Kawaguchi. The latter learned his traditional cooking skills in the family restaurant in Tokyo and eventually conquered Paris - probably the most critical city in the world in gourmet matters. This earned him the only Michelin star for a Japanese restaurant to date!

The Palazzo Kitchen Table
Just a few meters from the Grand Canal is the light-filled Palazzo Kitchen Table. The Aman's exclusive restaurant has its own wine cellar and a teppan, a Japanese grill for teppanyaki-style cooking. The artist Matteo Bertelli is responsible for the artistic design in the sense of an urban garden retreat, literally. The private dining concept is also unique here, offering various gourmet events for exclusive groups throughout the year.
