In February 2024, the iconic Taschenbergpalais Kempinski hotel in Dresden celebrated its reopening after lengthy renovation work. With its 180 rooms and 31 suites, the five-star hotel in the old town of Dresden shines in timeless splendor.

Homage to the past

The sophisticated lighting concept impresses as soon as you enter the lobby because it reflects the course of the River Elbe. Guests will also be amazed in all other parts of the hotel. One particular highlight of the hotel, for example, is the reopened Royal Suite. It's one of the largest hotel suites in Germany. On 380 square meters, the King and Queen Suite combine to form an impressive room creating a harmonious overall concept with hand-knotted carpets and elegant linen wallpaper.

This perfect symbiosis of bygone times and modern elegance comes from the pen of designer Markus Hilzinger. He interprets the traditional luxury of the house in a contemporary way. The elegant combination of baroque heritage and modern design, which meets even the highest demands, runs through the entire Taschenbergpalais Kempinski.

The elegant Amalie patisserie & lounge and the hotel's own Restaurant "Das Palais" also serve exquisite dishes - including new interpretations of classic dishes. For fish lovers, the renowned restaurant Kastenmeiers offers an exclusive seafood selection. In the "1705" bar - named after the year the building was founded - guests can immerse themselves in the glamorous atmosphere of the 1920s and enjoy an extensive cocktail menu.

Culture of relaxation

The spacious spa area is located on the top floor of the hotel. Here, you'll find baroque elements reflecting the style of Dresden. Guests can relax in saunas, steam baths and an infrared cabin or enjoy the spacious indoor pool with its sparkling "starry sky". Yoga classes and individual wellness treatments round off the extensive feel-good offer.

As Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski is located in the immediate vicinity of Dresden's famous sights such as the Royal Palace, the Dresden Zwinger and the Semper Opera House, it's also an ideal city oasis for sightseeing and culture enthusiasts. And with the completed renovation, the Taschenbergpalais Kempinski is not only a place for exclusive comfort and first-class service. It's also a testimony to how historical tradition and contemporary luxury can harmonize in an impressive way.
