Opinions differ on the subject of home offices: for some it's a successful change, for others it's a nightmare come true. Working at home can have its pitfalls: Poor internet connection, impossible background noise or simply no available space! The Austrian hotel industry, which has already been hit by the pandemic, has come up with a fine solution: One can book rooms for several hours or days in order to work undisturbed from there. A win-win situation, we think!

Boutique Hotel Donauwalzer, Vienna
The temporary home office can be set up at the Boutique Hotel Donauwalzer. Hourly, daily or weekly rates are available for undisturbed work. The practical thing: Snacks and food are served in the room on request. Five working hours cost 20 euros, nine hours 30 euros. A whole working week amounts to 99 euros.
25 Hours Hotel, Vienna
The 25 Hours Hotel in the 7th district is a hotspot for young travellers. In addition to its hip retro charm, it also has the right equipment to relocate your office there in peace and quiet. The home office rooms cost 50 euros per day and are equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, Bluetooth speakers and hot beverage machines.

Zeitgeist Vienna, Vienna
Hotel Zeitgeist Vienna is located at Vienna Central Station and offers various daily and weekly packages there. A room for home office use can be booked from 49 euros for eight hours per day. Need a change of scenery? Before the ceiling falls on your head, you can make yourself comfortable in one of the study rooms at Hotel Voco in Villach. For 50 euros, you can easily move your home office there. Little extras included! The price includes parking, room service and a coffee machine in the room.

The 4-star Hotel Melanie on the outskirts of Salzburg can be used as an alternative workplace. The work break in a double room for single use costs 42 euros for one day. Half day the price is 21 euros. Great service: For a small fee, documents can also be printed out without any problems.

In the city center of Salzburg is the Achat Plaza zum Hirschen Salzburg. There, the home office can be spent in the hotel for 39 euros per day. Additional services such as breakfast, lunch package or fruit plate, can be taken for an extra charge. Special plus: Companies can book flexible rates for long-term stays of their employees.
