But if you don't want to eat alone, you can dine in the Out of This World restaurant in the lagoon. And this can only be reached by boat, or by 80-metre zipline. Casual dining is also available in the Living Room. If you're in the mood for unusual fine dining, head to So Primitive. Here, you can eat first-class cuisine by a campfire. It tastes even better with your feet in the sand, the starry sky above you and the sound of the waves in your ears.

Accessible paradise

Completely secluded and to be found in complete privacy - but not completely out of the way: The Soneva Secret can be reached in 75 minutes by seaplane from Velana International Airport in Malé. It's very practical that a stay can be easily combined with a vacation at the Soneva Jani or the Soneva Fushi. The new Maldives resort is between 30 and 40 minutes away from them by seaplane.

If you want a little more Soneva: from Soneva Fushi, you can take a one-day cruise on the luxury yacht Soneva in Aqua. Prices for the cheapest beach and overwater villas (excluding 30 percent taxes and fees) start at almost €5,000 in the high season. That's per night, of course.
