On December 15, a select group of guests attended the eagerly awaited grand opening of the latest trend destination in Hinterstoder: the Triforêt alpin.resort. After more than a year of construction, the exclusive hotel at an altitude of 1,400 m now exceeds all expectations and meets the highest standards in terms of design, comfort and cuisine. The 20 chalets and striking main building (formerly the Berghotel Hinterstoder) seem to blend magically into the landscape. The upscale family ski region has thus received an exciting upgrade and will attract a new luxury-oriented target group from Austria and abroad.

A colorful mix of prominent new fans arrived at the Triforêt for the opening, including actors Lilian Klebow and Erich Altenkopf, ski star Lizz Görgl, Austrian rally champion Simon Wagner, former Austrian ski team coach Hans Pum and bestselling author Vily Bergen. After the first welcome drink, hotel manager Paul Schwaiger and his team gave a tour of the hotel, including the 115 m2 luxury penthouse directly under the roof, as well as the spa with day beds, indoor pool and heated outdoor pool and wellness area. As an exclusive beauty partner, the Triforêt was the first hotel in Austria to present myBlend by Clarins, and Scottish painter Stuart McAlpine Miller welcomed guests as the artist in residence. The new hotel was met with great enthusiasm: Lilian Klebow said: "When you arrive here, you immediately enter a magical winter wonderland," while Lizz Görgl compared the location to Aspen.
Alpine cuisine at its finest

Torches lined the freshly snow-covered path, which led via a snow bar with champagne beer and champagne to the Hutterer alpin.restaurant, which awaited guests with a fireplace, restaurant, mountain lounge and terrace. Executive Chef Markus Kube managed to leave everyone speechless: His culinary concept "chamois meets alpine salmon" is highly contemporary and manages the balancing act between regional ingredients and sophisticated gourmet cuisine with grace and ease. The dishes served included Hinterstoder venison sausages with mustard pickles; home-made pickled salmon trout fillet; raw, marinated char fillet with lime, chili and cress; home-made pastrami with lamb's lettuce and apple horseradish, and gently cooked pork belly with dumpling leaves, radishes and horseradish. For a sweet finish, there was lime tart, apple strudel and Kaiserschmarren à la Triforêt.
Fiery Finale

A set of melodic techno, deep house and house by Pete Sabo helped set the mood. Spontaneous live sessions also played a part, including one by "Sturm der Liebe" TV star Erich Altenkopf, who performed "New York, New York" on the piano. Another highlight was a spectacular fire and LED light show. Long after midnight, when architect and co-managing director Alois Aigner took up the accordion and played for the last friends and neighbors, it was clear to everyone: this is the beginning of a new era in Hinterstoder.
