Modernity behind historic walls
Of course, Six Senses is aware of the long history of the building. The renovation was done with care. Both the original facade and the monumental staircase were preserved. To demonstrate the brand's commitment to local communities and sustainability, the company also renovated the façade of the neighboring church of San Macello al Corso.

Inside the Palazzo Salviati Cesi Mellini, 96 guest rooms and suites have been created. They score with details that allude to the local heritage. The stucco and limestone, for example, come from the region. Patterns, graphic elements, sunny terraces, high ceilings, and historic bay windows are just a few of the gorgeous details. Imaginative plantings and natural light characterize the design. And none other than Patricia Urquiola was responsible for that.
Roman bath culture
Six Senses is considered an international pioneer in wellness resorts. The brand, which originated in Thailand, also respects the place and culture of Rome. After all, the ancient Romans were masters of bathing culture.

In Italy, people know how to eat and drink well, and to enjoy life. That's why the Six Senses Rome is opening the BIVIUM restaurant-café-bar on the ground floor. Here, modern Italian cuisine is on the menu. Even vegan guests will find what they are looking for. You can eat either in front of the open kitchen or on the pretty terrace. Chef Nadia Frisina skillfully combines local and seasonal ingredients to create creative dishes that taste amazing.
