Relais & Châteaux: NEW IN!

We have the seven new members.

30 September 2020

Since the end of August, the international hotel and restaurant association Relais & Châteaux has seven new members from all over the world. Each of them is unique, with an individual history, special architecture and top-class cuisine. All members embody the values of Relais & Châteaux and are actively committed to a respectful approach to nature. The preservation of natural resources and the protection of the culinary heritage are central to this. The adventure begins in Italy, travels through Portugal, symbolic regions of France to the Bahamas and ends in Japan.

Herdade da Malhadinha Nova, Albernoa, Alentejo, Portugal

Herdade da Malhadinha Nova is a traditional family estate surrounded by 450 hectares of land. 80 hectares alone are dedicated to organic vineyards. Spacious guest rooms and suites combine design, nature and comfort. A pool with stunning panoramic views, a spa with soothing vinotherapy treatments and a gourmet restaurant pamper guests.

Here you can experience Portugal from its most beautiful and natural side.

Il San Corrado di Noto, Noto, Sicily, Italy

In February, Il Santo Corrado di Nato opens in Noto, a baroque town and UNESCO World Heritage Site in Sicily. An oasis of well-being directly by the sea, designed for both relaxing and eventful days. Luxurious villas and suites allow you to experience Sicilian culture and nature up close.

Il San Corrado di Noto opens in 2021.

Domaine de Rymska, Saint-Jean-de-Trézy, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, France

The farmhouse, built from local materials, sits on 80 acres of land amid rolling countryside full of lakes, meadows and forests and conveys a sense of timeless tranquillity and purity. Spacious guest rooms and suites blend elegance and design, while the chef spoils guests with excellent dishes made from produce grown right on the farm.

The design of the rooms combines elegance modern comfort.

Restaurant David Toutain Paris, Île-de-France, France

The restaurant impresses with its simple design of oak, concrete and glass. Two-star Michelin chef David Toutain gives free rein to his culinary dreams there and spoils the guests' palates with unique dishes and special flavours.

Local ingredients and selected wines are on the daily menu here.

La Villa Grand Voile, La Rochelle, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France

La Villa Grand Voile, a former shipping company residence dating back to 1715, is located in a quiet side street, yet only a few steps away from the hustle and bustle of the Old Port. Chef Christopher Coutanceau and Maître de Maison Nicolas Brossard have created an oasis of well-being that resembles a botanical garden.

A pool and eleven rooms and suites await guests.

Tiamo, Andros Island, Bahamas

The Bahamas, as they could not be more beautiful: An earthly garden with wide sandy beaches, palm trees and everything else your heart desires. The accommodations are designed completely environmentally friendly, incomparable is the panoramic view of the seemingly endless horizon.

The roofs of the shelters were built from local pine wood and straw.

L'Effervescence, Tokyo, Japan

On a small street in the middle of bustling Tokyo, this restaurant is infused with a deep sense of Zen. The austere, minimalist design harmonises perfectly with the view of the Japanese garden. Chef Shinobu Namae's cuisine, decorated with two Michelin stars, impresses with local ingredients and French preparation techniques with the aim of fighting pollution.

Zen and local products are at the heart of the cuisine at L'Effervescence.
