TRAVEL TIP 2021: WITHOUT CHANGING TRAINS TO A HOLIDAY PARADISE
The top 4 direct flight destinations for summer.
23 March 2021
Pretty much everyone is probably dreaming of escaping the grey everyday life of a pandemic on a white sandy beach as soon as possible. At the latest in the Summer most holidaymakers want to go away again.
HolidayCheck has selected four long-haul destinations that are currently particularly suitable if you don't want to change planes. The most important criterion: if it's long-haul, it should be a direct flight!
Especially now, many long-haul destinations that allow for a non-stop long-haul flight are a good choice, as contacts can be kept to a minimum when changing planes. In addition, with a direct flight, vacationers save the worry of encountering additional, unforeseen corona protections at the stopover airport during transit. Although summer is not the classic travel season for destinations like the Dominican Republic, Cuba or the Maldives, they are scoring points with globetrotters now.
Dominican Republic
All-inclusive beach vacations are recommended especially now in Corona times. At many all-inclusive hotels in the Dominican Republic, vacationers can add even more privacy and individual space: special rates offer exclusively reserved areas in the hotel and on the beach. This makes social distancing - in a special ambience - easier to implement. The travel options are diverse. In the 2021 summer flight schedule, for example, Eurowings and Condor will offer flights to Punta Cana from Frankfurt am Main several times a week, and Condor will also offer flights to Puerto Plata.
Cuba
This Caribbean island also scores with a good price-performance ratio and a wide range of excellent all-inclusive facilities with beautiful Caribbean sandy beaches. Since a negative PCR test is mandatory upon entry, one can also feel safe here upon arrival. Cuba also has good flight connections: Condor, for example, offers three weekly direct flights from Frankfurt to the capital Havana.
Maldives
For those who like it even more exclusive and want to play it safe when it comes to social distancing, the Maldives are the ideal destination. They have been much more in demand for months, even if holidaymakers have to dig deeper into their pockets. Without changing planes, Condor flies twice a week from Frankfurt to the main island of Male, and from there by boat transfer or seaplane to the resort island.
Mauritius
The island paradise in the Indian Ocean can also be reached comfortably with an 11-hour direct flight. The price level is similar to that of the Maldives, the accommodation offers could not be more different. Condor flies twice a week from Frankfurt non-stop to the island.
