Italy's capital is gearing up for an exciting new opening: in early 2023, Six Senses Rome, the first Italian property of the renowned hotel brand, will welcome guests in the city's historic center.

Wellness, sustainability and design: With the opening of Six Senses Rome, the luxury hotel brand will celebrate its Italian premiere in 2023. The hotel, which will open its doors in the spring on Via del Corso in the historic center, is located in the Palazzo Salviati Cesi Mellini palace. And it already promises to be one of the best urban hideaways in the Eternal City.

Just a few steps from the Pantheon and the famous Trevi Fountain, you'll find the Palazzo Salviati Cesi Mellini. The history of the house, named after the owner families, dates back to the 15th century. Six Senses has restored and carefully renovated the building. Design icon Patricia Urquiola was brought in for the interior, who has imbued the historic walls with contemporary flair.

In the total of 96 rooms and suites, the new opening boasts the signature Six Senses style. Patterns and graphic elements meet the history of the house, which retains its Cocciopesto plaster and alabaster-colored travertine limestone.

History meets modernity: the rooms with high-ceilings are generously sized and furnished in a contemporary style, with large windows, terraces and historic bay windows.
Restaurants

Guests can dine at BIVIUM, which is located on the first floor of the new hotel and will also be open to locals. The restaurant, which doubles as a café and bar, includes its own deli corners, a Josper grill, a wood-fired oven, and a lifestyle terrace. In addition to modern Italian cuisine, Executive Chef Nadia Frisina also focuses on vegan alternatives and regional seasonal ingredients.

At the NOTOS rooftop, guests are treated to delicious snacks and excellent cocktails, as well as panoramic views of Rome.

The brand's famous urban wellness will also be omnipresent at the new Roman property. In the middle of the city, guests and locals will find a refuge of tranquility and wellness, combined with the tradition of ancient Roman bathing. A modern spin on calidariums, tepidariums and frigidariums via three plunge pools awaits guests at the Six Senses Spa. At the Alchemy Bar, you can learn more about the effects of special herbs and plants. In addition, there are international wellness favorites, such as a Hamam and a classic sauna. Special biohacking and meditation rooms are joined by an outdoor yoga deck and a gym. Various treatment rooms await with relaxing surprises.
