Grandezza in Belgravia

The Peninsula London is located in a stylish new building between Hyde Park Corner and Wellington Arch. The location alone is an obligation to luxury. And the hotel is only too happy to fulfill this obligation. The building fits harmoniously into the surrounding historic architecture . The large, landscaped courtyard allows arriving in privacy. Of course, it is not only the external values that matter.

Guests can also look forward to stylish grandeur on the inside. The world-famous architect Peter Marino was responsible for this. He created a bright, light-flooded aesthetic that runs through all the rooms like a common thread. The 190 rooms and suites are among the most spacious in the entire city. Because even the smallest room scores with 50 square meters of living space.

Now you might think that you quickly feel lost in it. But the opposite is the case. Custom-made furniture, carefully selected textiles and original artwork create a feeling of home. The mahogany-paneled dressing rooms and bathrooms of honey-colored onyx were crafted by British artisans. They crown the luxurious ambience.

On the pulse of the city

The British elements in the hotel are further emphasized by the view. It falls through floor-to-ceiling windows onto the Wellington Arch and the historic Belgravia. The traditional Peninsula Afternoon Tea in the lobby invites you to take a deep breath. Other culinary highlights are provided by The Peninsula Boutique and Café with its sandwiches and salads, and Canton Blue. The latter serves innovative Chinese cuisine.

From the hotel's own rooftop restaurant, Brooklands, you can enjoy views over the city, accompanied by the cuisine of Michelin-starred chef Claude Bosi. Or vice versa. The bar with a view of the skyline serves Singapore Sling and other delicious drinks. The other setting includes a collection devoted entirely to classic British aviation and motorsports.

This, of course, includes the Peninsula Spa and Wellness Centre. Its opening is planned for November. Here, guests can pamper themselves by means of a wide range of relaxation and well-being offers.
