The illustrated book with background reports in opulent optics

With the illustrated book "Palma", it's the first time that Mallorca fans discover the island capital in large format with insider knowledge and opulent optics. On 320 pages, author and editor Stefan Loiperdinger shows the history, culture and architecture of Palma as well as trendy neighborhoods, chic shops and pubs. With over 180 mostly large-format illustrations and background reports, the work is an illustrated book with depth that captures the city's cultural heritage and transformation in a very personal way.

Cultural oasis Palma: From small artists to the stars of the progressive art scene

The Palma expert highlights the importance of Palma as a centre of contemporary art with a portrait of the pioneer of contemporary art, Pep Pinya, who didn't sell a painting for nine years and only became world famous through Juan Miró. In addition, important galleries and artists of Palma are presented.

The prosperous Palma of today and yesterday

From the Golden Mile, the Paseo del Borne, to the smallest and most winding alleys of the old town, readers will discover a lifestyle paradise with luxury shops such as Louis Vuitton, Carmina Shoemaker, the couturier Jorge Vázquez as well as alternative fashion, curiosities and quaint pubs such as the 100-year-old bodega with huge wine barrels and the photo gallery of the first guests of the 1930s.

The author and publisher of the book

Stefan Loiperdinger grew up in Munich's artist quarter Schwabing. Like many of us, it took him several attempts to figure out how he wanted to shape his life. His income as a postman and taxi driver enabled him to study graphic design. After 30 years in advertising, Stefan Loiperdinger sought his fortune, without much expectation of fulfillment, on Mallorca. But since then, the island has taken hold of him. Thus, the elective Majorcan constantly explores the beauty of the island on countless tours.
