Ummahat Island: Never heard of it? No wonder! The private island in the Red Sea still flies under the radar of most travelers. However, that'll probably change soon. Because the island, part of the picturesque Blue Hole archipelago, is surrounded by pristine coral reefs. Clear water, impressive starry skies and a lot of history speak for themselves. Just like the latest new opening from Ritz-Carlton: Nujuma. The Ritz-Carlton Reserve is located on Ummahat Island and marks the brand entry of the luxury hospitality brand in the Middle East.

The beautiful tourist region The Red Sea is located on the west coast of Saudi Arabia. Lined by the fourth largest barrier reef in the world, it consists of a total of 90 pristine islands. Reef fish, dolphins, sea turtles, stingrays and many more feel at home in this fascinating ecosystem. Guests at Nujuma will never want to leave. The resort, whose name is derived from the Arabic word for "star", is in a league of its own. The 63 overwater and beach villas at the resort are reached by seaplane or boat. Once you arrive, the main thing is to be amazed.

Closer to the Sky

The overwater and beach villas score points on many levels. Firstly, there's a lot of space. With up to three bedrooms and spacious living areas, even larger families can easily find space here. There's a telescope for stargazing on each deck and the villas are equipped with private pools. The water villas offer panoramic views and direct access to the sea, while the beach villas are secluded and light-flooded retreats. All Nujuma guests can look forward to first-class service. This includes the personal villa butlers. They take care of all their guests' wishes.

Local experts also ensure that the region's heritage is passed on and preserved. They provide insights into Saudi Arabian culture, the country and its traditions. Even children can take part in the creative activities. Of course, guests will also be spoiled for choice when it comes to culinary delights. They can indulge themselves in five different restaurants. Here, too, the combination of culture and the traditions of the region are celebrated.

Focus on wellbeing

Neyrah Spa promises absolute relaxation. Holistic well-being takes center stage in the idyllic indoor and outdoor oasis. Treatment rituals and methods from all over the world are used as well as local products. In addition to treatments, Neyrah Spa also offers moon yoga, singing bowl therapy, breathing techniques and meditation. There's also a vitality and lane pool and a hammam for relaxation. Excess energy can be released in the fitness center.
