Motel One opens in Innsbruck - Is this the coolest rooftop bar in town?
Tyrol's first Motel One hosted its grand opening on February 9. Stylish interiors, a relaxed atmosphere and modern art installations await guests in Innsbruck's new urban hotspot.

The first Motel One in the Alps has welcomed guests in Tyrol's capital since November. On February 9, the new hotel officially celebrated its grand opening. Invited guests enjoyed tasty drinks, live music, and breathtaking views in the panorama bar on the 13th floor.

Cosy atmosphere
The new hotel is located close to Innsbruck's main train station. For the interior, natural materials combined with modern accessories create a skilful mix of urban flair and alpine highlights. The breakfast area "Tiroler Stube", for example, features handmade carvings on the walls and bell lights, while the bar is equipped with modern elements and cloud-shaped lights by Bocci. The artistic elements in the lobby, the bar and each room, created by local artist Nicole Weniger, are also a particular highlight to point out. Pedestrians can also enjoy one of the artist's installations on the house's windows, visible from the outside.

Design and comfort
The 234 rooms are compact yet stylish and comfortable. Those who book a corner room will enjoy breathtaking views of the Bergisel or the Nordkette. The beds are extremely comfortable and guarantee a good night's sleep. Pictures of Weniger hang above the beds, and if you're lucky, you'll catch one of the rooms from where the art installation on the windows is visible from the inside as well.

Breakfast and party above the clouds - also for locals
On the 13th floor, guests enjoy various organic-certified foods. Come spring, two terraces will offer comfy sofas and chairs and the perfect vista while enjoying one's morning coffee. In the evenings, the Cloud One Bar also attracts guests for cool drinks and delicious signature cocktails. A must-visit for all Innsbruck residents!
