The Mandarin Oriental Kanai, Riviera Maya, promises to be one of the most outstanding luxury hotels in the region. The renowned hotel group is planning a resort in this paradisiacal stretch of the Yucatán Peninsula that combines the best of the region with excellent service and exceptional design. The new hotel is located on a 680-hectare site, surrounded by untouched jungle and a protected mangrove reserve. The construction will only stretch over nine percent of the site in order to protect the sensitive flora and fauna. Guests can look forward to the beauty of nature and the preservation of the natural habitat while residing in elegant suites with private pools that seamlessly transition between indoor and outdoor areas. Furnished with high-quality materials such as marble, wood and locally woven fabrics, the rooms offer an atmosphere of elegance and natural luxury.

Cultural ties and unique art
A special highlight of the resort is the cooperation with the renowned Mexican artist Bosco Sodi, who acts as an art curator and design consultant. His works, inspired by the Japanese Wabi-Sabi philosophy and Mayan traditions, lend the resort a profound, artistic atmosphere. Sodi's vision fuses ancient traditions with modern aesthetics to create a place of contemplation and connection with the surrounding nature.

Their designs blend harmoniously into the landscape and are inspired by the impressive Mayan architecture. Interior design accents are set by the renowned New York studio Meyer Davis, which has created a calm and luxurious ambiance together with William Gray. The spa area and beach club bear the signature of Esrawe Studio and offer exclusive design elements for perfect relaxation.
Luxury and privacy at the highest level
In addition to the 120 exquisite rooms and suites, the resort will also have 50 private residences. These will offer residents access to an exclusive beach club reserved just for them. Here they will find a refuge of peace and privacy while enjoying the Caribbean to the fullest.
Mandarin Oriental is renowned for its excellent cuisine, and the resort on the Riviera Maya will be no exception.
