Mandarin Oriental: Asian luxury goes Vienna
Highest comfort and design of the extra class will soon be enthroned in Vienna
9 July 2020
The leading international luxury hotel chain "Mandarin Oriental" will open a five-star hotel in Vienna in 2023: Highest comfort and design of the extra class will soon be enthroned in the best location in the first district.
Located in the former Commercial Court as one of the city's most beautiful Art Nouveau properties, Mandarin Oriental sets new standards in luxury hotels: On a quiet street within the Ringstrasse, the city's most important sights, including St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Imperial Palace, the Vienna State Opera and a variety of restaurants and bars are within easy walking distance.
Remodeling of the property is already underway, and meticulous care is being taken to preserve many of the building's original design elements during the restoration. When completed, the hotel will offer 151 guest rooms and suites arranged around the large courtyard in the center of the structure. Guests will also be able to enjoy a restaurant, bar and outdoor garden area. The hotel will also house a spa area, which will feature a range of treatment rooms, a swimming pool and a state-of-the-art fitness area. A range of flexible banquet and meeting rooms will be available for events and social occasions. Combining historic walls with modern aspirations, Mandarin Oriental Vienna creates space for unforgettable experiences in the heart of one of Europe's most popular destinations for art, music and culture.
Above the rooftops of the city
In the converted roof area and on the top floor, 17 luxury apartments with a total area of 3,500 square metres will be built. From the "Residences at Mandarin Oriental", guests will have direct access to all the hotel's facilities. The perfect furnishings, the generous amount of space, the breathtaking view of the entire city from the roof terraces and, last but not least, the legendary service of the Mandarin Oriental will create what are probably the finest living options in Vienna.
