The guests who arrive on 27 August 2021, in time for the official opening of Ca' di Dio, will not be the first to occupy the new design oasis in the heart of the lagoon city. Because, already one week before them, the person who wins the bid in an auction will be allowed to move into the hotel. It doesn't get much more exclusive than sleeping in a luxury hotel in Venice that no guest has ever stayed in before. The elegant establishment is using NFT technology to auction off the first night. Usually it is used for online digital artwork auctions, i.e. pictures, music or videos. NFT stands for "non-fungible token" and is a kind of certificate of authenticity. With this campaign, the design oasis, which is located directly in the Arsenale art district, proves its affinity for young artists and old masterpieces.

Participation is simple. The exclusive night will be available to potential bidders on OpenSea, the largest international NFT marketplace for virtual art, until 10 a.m. on August 16. The call price for the night of August 19-20 is $250. The highest bidder will enjoy exclusive use of the hotel, a boat transfer, a night in the suite and dinner overlooking the lagoon and San Giorgio. From 27 August, Ca' di Dio will then open its doors to all design and architecture fans in the most famous city in the world. You can look forward to a Venetian villa dating back to 1272, which was crowned by the internationally renowned designer Patricia Urquiola. The finest Italian craftsmanship, for example in the form of mouth-blown Murano chandeliers, outstanding cuisine, 57 suites and nine deluxe rooms celebrate the Italian lifestyle.
