Zanzibar is increasingly becoming a popular travel destination. At the same time, the demand for first-class accommodation is also increasing. Marriott intends to meet this demand with the opening of its Le Méridien Zanzibar Resort. You'll be able to check in as early as 2025, marking the brand's debut on the coast of the East African island.

The first guests will be welcomed from 2025. You can choose between 75 rooms, suites and villas. The view of the beach and the Indian Ocean is unobstructed through large windows. While palm trees sway in the wind outside and the clear water laps gently, you get to enjoy the stylish interior. As a home away from home, Le Méridien Zanzibar scores with elegant design that doesn't lack comfort.
Milestone in the hotel industry
By the end of the year, a specialty restaurant, a spa and an open-air bar will also be built on the lush green grounds in Bwejuu, on the east coast of Zanzibar. Young travelers can make new friends at the kids' club, while adults can work out in the gym or explore the surroundings. A distinctive program of activities inspired by European traditions provides additional variety. In short: Guests can simply enjoy the good life.

Three highly experienced partners from the tourism sector guarantee that the new luxury hotel on Zanzibar will be a success.
Le Méridien continues to grow
"We're delighted to take over the operation of Le Méridien Zanzibar Resort," said Bani Haddad, Founder and Managing Director of Aleph Hospitality. "This stunning, modern resort will be an incredible addition to Zanzibar's hotel offering, which has seen a surge in growth with international tourist numbers exceeding a record one million just last month."

Le Méridien Zanzibar is also an enrichment for the brand, which was founded in Paris in the 1960s. The portfolio now includes more than 120 chic accommodations in over 35 countries and territories. The brand is particularly well-known among travelers for its Signature Offers. For example, they love the sparkling cocktails, the appealing mid-century design and experiences centered around art, coffee and family.
