No quarantine when returning to Austria: These holiday countries are affected
The summer holiday is getting closer

New entry regulations have been in force in Austria since 19 May. For Countries with low infection rates, quarantine is no longer required. Instead, proof of vaccination, a negative test or confirmed recovery is sufficient.
A total of 34 countries are exempt from the quarantine requirement.
No quarantine on return to Austria
We have been waiting for this moment for a very long time, now it has finally arrived: In Austria, the quarantine obligation for some of the most popular holiday countries such as Italy, Greece and France is no longer applicable. However, anyone who wants to travel back home after a stay in these countries will need a so-called 3-G certificate from now on. This means that you must either be vaccinated, tested or recovered.
Incidentally, all vaccinations that have been approved by the EU Medicines Agency or have undergone a process of WHO have gone through. The Russian vaccine Sputnik V does not apply. However, the vaccine from the Chinese company Sinopharm, which has received emergency approval from the WHO, is to apply.
There is no quarantine for these countries
In total, the quarantine obligation is waived for 34 countries when entering Austria. In other words, all those countries with a low level of infection. These include:

- Belgium
- Bulgaria
- Denmark
- Estonia
- Finland
- France
- Liechtenstein
- Greece
- Ireland
- Iceland
- Israel
- Italy
- Latvia
- Luxembourg
- Malta
- Monaco
- New Zealand
- Norway
- Poland
- Portugal
- Romania
- San Marino
- Singapore
- Slovakia
- Slovenia
- Spain
- Switzerland
- South Korea
- Czech Republic
- Hungary
- Vatican
- Andorra
- Australia
Croatia remains under quarantine
Even though many people are happy about being allowed to travel back to Austria from popular holiday destinations without quarantine, the strict measures are still in place for some countries with a high number of infections. These include Croatia, Sweden, Cyprus, Lithuania and the Netherlands. Those who have neither been vaccinated nor recovered must still remain in quarantine for at least five days.
Virus variant countries, such as Brazil, India and South Africa, are also exempt from quarantine.
