It's not just stars like Madonna who long for a reinvention every 20 years at the latest. Even self-respecting hotels are constantly reviewing their own concept and sometimes treat themselves to a new look. After 22 years, it's now time for Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa . Located directly on the famous Flic-en-Flac Beach, the hotel is sprucing itself up.

Timeless Taste and Boho
First things first: the lush and well-known tropical palm garden has remained untouched. Fans of the resort will be delighted, as it's a beautiful asset of the resort. However, the 193 rooms and 18 suites have been given a makeover. Two local design studios are responsible for the redesign. The common thread is the focus on contemporary elegance. However, selected elements bring a boho vibe to the resort.

Lots of wood, natural stone, light sand colors and earthy tones transform the accommodations into oases of peace. The filigree and colorful works of art by Mauritian artist Kim Yip Tong form an exciting contrast. The boho elements, such as ceramics and cushions, also come from the country. Pieces from South Africa and India complement the style.
Culinary delights for connoisseurs
In future, the Coquillages Restaurant & Bar, located directly on the beach, will offer delicious tapas and fresh seafood specialties accompanied by live music. Ginger Thai Restaurant, on the other hand, focuses on innovative interpretations of traditional Thai cuisine. And because India has always had a major influence on the island on Africa's east coast, Kesari Restaurant pays homage to it. The menu includes delicious curries and tandoori specialties. Creole cuisine is served at Pomme d'Amour, while two bars tempt guests with cocktails, tapas and more.

Food is a lot, but not everything. That's why the spa has also been given a facelift. The focus here is on holistic signature treatments. Both Asian and local wellness philosophies merge to create soothing treatments. Among other things, Terre d'Afrique products are used. They are based on regenerative plant ingredients from Africa.

The 4,360 square meter palm garden continues to invite guests to take relaxing strolls past the swimming pools, lagoons with waterfalls and pavilions. Sports fans can let off steam in the gym, on the tennis court or on the volleyball court at the Hilton Mauritius. They can also go cycling, hiking, windsurfing, sailing, diving or snorkeling in the immediate vicinity. Family suites and a Kids Club make it an ideal address for a vacation with children.
