Florio at The Charles Hotel is poised to become a new highlight in Munich’s vibrant culinary scene. Here, traditional Italian culinary mastery meets a modern lifestyle – an invitation to celebrate life with good company and savor every moment. Inspired by the philosophy of renowned Italian chef Fulvio Pierangelini, who serves as Creative Director of Food for the Rocco Forte Group, this new Munich establishment joins the prestigious roster of Rocco Forte restaurants in Rome and Palermo.

Florio brings the essence of "la dolce vita" to Munich, offering refined yet approachable cuisine. Pierangelini’s concept emphasizes seasonal, high-quality, and locally sourced ingredients. The dishes are simple but crafted with mastery, offering guests the very best of Italian cuisine without pretension. A standout on the menu is the classic Artichoke alla Romana, while seasonal specialties ensure the menu remains dynamic and fresh.

Lydia Forte, Group Director of Rocco Forte Hotels, describes Florio as more than just a restaurant. It’s a place where guests can immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Italy and experience the true spirit of the Italian way of life. The ambiance evokes the iconic Italian films of the 1950s and 1960s that celebrated life to the fullest. “Florio is the perfect place to spend time with friends and family, leave the everyday behind, and truly enjoy life,” Forte explains.
In addition to the outstanding food, a carefully curated Italian wine list complements the dining experience. Florio offers more than just a meal – it invites guests to lose track of time and enjoy the cozy yet stylish surroundings.

The restaurant’s interior design reflects this concept of relaxed glamour. Moss-green linen wallpaper, silvery olive trees, and botanical illustrations pay tribute to Florio’s location next to the Old Botanical Garden. Round benches in warm rust tones and elegant walnut tables create a comfortable yet luxurious atmosphere, perfectly complemented by attentive and charming service.

For Fulvio Pierangelini, Florio is not just a tribute to Italian cuisine but a reflection of a way of life. “Florio is an attitude, a lifestyle. It’s an attempt to capture a moment in Italian culinary history and bring it to Munich. The dishes should be timeless yet modern – free from trends but full of finesse,” says Pierangelini.
