Maria Sharapova was world number one in tennis and won all four Grand Slam tournaments at least once. After the end of her active career in 2020, the successful Russian became the wellness ambassador for the luxury hotel group Aman. And in this role, she has now personally created several immersions. The best of several worlds

Where the brand started over 30 years ago, the foundation stone for several so called Immersions with Maria Sharapova is also being laid. Namely at Amanpuri, which is idyllically surrounded by tall palm trees on its own private peninsula in Phuket. And hardly anyone knows more about this than a former professional athlete. Sharapova has created a whole series of immersive wellness stays. The first one is now available to book. The top athlete has not only personally curated it, she will also host the program. Guests can be sure to benefit from the important experience of the tennis pro. After all, she can look back on several successful decades.

The wellness and fitness experts at Amanpuri also worked on the development of the new immersions. This guarantees that guests of all fitness levels are picked up exactly where they currently are. The aim is to encourage participants to view the interplay between performance and recovery as a holistic approach to find a greater well-being. The tools they are given can be applied to many areas of life. A top performance is then also no problem at work.

During the stay, there's an examination by the Amanpuri doctor, then there are daily meditation and breathing exercises as well as performance sessions designed by Sharapova. Recovery exercises are also used. Even novel treatment methods, such as infusions (keyword: Liquid Healing), and Aman signature treatments are on the program. Every morning before breakfast, there's a hike with the former tennis pro. Dr. Jason Wersland, the founder of Therabody. He leads the warm-up exercises before the performance activities.

Of course, that's not all the participants can look forward to. They'll also be in the hands of absolute professionals when it comes to culinary delights. In addition to the daily breakfast, which is tailored to the upcoming activities, there's also a welcome BBQ on the beach. And to make it even harder to say goodbye, the last evening is celebrated with an exclusive dinner.

Maria Sharapova also had a say in this. However, the menus are created in collaboration with Matteo Nardin, the Regional Executive Chef of Aman in Asia. The menu only includes dishes that support the activities. It goes without saying that the ingredients are first-class, fresh and local.
