The renowned Klosterhof has long stood for comfortable luxury and unique moments of well-being in idyllic Bayerisch Gmain. Newly opened in 2016, the Alpine Hideaway & Spa ****S with 500 years of history offers 65 rooms and suites - including spa lofts with whirlpool and mountain views, a 1500 square meter wellness area and an adjoining health center. The relaxing hideaway has also made a name for itself on a culinary level under the direction of chef Sascha Förster.

For its outstanding achievements in both areas, the feel-good hotel was named Discovery of the Year by the top-class event 12 Months 12 Stars. The 10th anniversary of Germany's unique gourmet gala will take place on January 21, 2024 in the Klosterhof and promises moments of indulgence in a class of their own. After receiving several awards for his Secret Forest fine dining evening, Förster will be able to compete with selected star chefs and showcase his talent to an audience of gourmets. "We are very proud to announce our Klosterhof as the official Hotel Discovery of the Year and chef Sascha Förster as Culinary Discovery of the Year," say hosts Henrike and Dr. Andreas Färber.

Twelve Michelin Guide award-winning chefs are expected to attend, including Bobby Bräuer (Ess Zimmer by Käfer, Munich), Florian Vogel (Camers Schlossrestaurant, Hohenkammer), Ben Benasr (Ritzi, Stuttgart), Peter Strauss (Alpin Lifestyle Hotel Löwen & Strauss), Rolf Straubinger (Burghotel Staufeneck) and Swiss luminary Stefan Jäckel (La Rôtisserie at Hotel Storchen, Zurich).
