The Monegasque luxury hotel group Monte-Carlo S.B.M. (Societé des Bains de Mer) is expanding: On October 3, they announced the acquisition of the Palace des Neiges, a luxurious hotel in the French skiing resort town of Courchevel. Best known for exclusive beach clubs on the Côte d'Azur as well as some of the finest hotels in Monte-Carlo, Monaco's most glamorous hospitality group is thus venturing into the French alps for the first time. An extensive renovation of the Palace des Neiges is planned, which will capitalize on the entire expertise and knowledge that S.B.M. has acquired over the years.

The Palace des Neiges will continue to be operated by the Alp'Azur Group for the upcoming 2023/2024 winter season, with the handover scheduled to take place in April 2024. Stéphane Valeri, President-Délégué of the company, is elated: "It is incredibly satisfying for our group to have succeeded, for the first time in our history, in finalizing a hotel acquisition at the international level, side by side with the biggest names in the luxury hotel industry in the Alps. Once our new establishment is refurbished, it will be a new growth driver for us, as well as a seasonal complement for our human resources." Pascal Camia, Director of International Development, added that "from now on, it's all about presenting a top-tier hotel."
