As one of the biggest fashion capitals in the world, Milan has been written not only style and design at the top of the agenda, but also growing tourism. The Italian metropolis is bubbling with life, and not just at the annual Fashion Week, when the whole of Milan mutates into a catwalk for the who's who of the fashion scene. It is therefore hardly surprising that more and more restaurants and hotels have settled here over time. A new gem has now opened in the middle of the artists' quarter Brera: Casa Baglioni.

Inspired by the 1960s
Trendy boutiques, art galleries, cool bars and restaurants - if you're looking for inspiring places, you'll find them everywhere in Milan. A new addition to the list is Casa Baglioni, part of the luxury hotel group Baglioni Hotels & Resorts. Stylistically, the hotel is inspired by the later 1960s, with a particular emphasis on the art and design world of that time. Herringbone floors and paneling made of walnut meet details of color, light, and shiny brass. Clear lines and shapes generate a special atmosphere in the hotel, created by the Italian architects Spagnulo & Partners.

Casa Baglioni, in the heart of the vibrant city, features 30 brand new rooms and suites. Cool extra: the rooms feature artwork by famous artists like Christo.

Not only the hotel has made a name for itself in the area, so has the restaurant in the building. Star chef Claudio Sadler has been hired for that reason. He relies on traditional and contemporary recipes, which he interprets with his own creative twist.
