December 10, 2022
For the second time, the Société des Bains de Mer of Monte-Carlo invited guests to the Festival des Etoilés Monte-Carlo 2022. Guests including Prince Albert II of Monaco enjoyed the culinary artistry of international celebrity chefs and renowned sommeliers. The grand finale of the festival, which lasted several weeks, took place on November 26 at One Monte-Carlo.
Grand Art de Vivre in Monte-Carlo
The first Festival des Etoilés Monte-Carlo 2021 also heralded the arrival of new acclaimed chefs in Monaco's famous borough. The aim of the event is to bring together the best chefs of the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer and their brigades, giving them the space to present their refined creations from the Monaco restaurants to a wider audience.
The festival, which includes lunches and dinners, is hosted by the Société des Bains de Mer of Monte-Carlo Resort, which has seven Michelin stars, the highest number of stars in Europe. The chefs of each of the group's four Michelin-starred restaurants were joined by a leading figure in international haute cuisine who acted as guest chef.

Culinary art at its best
The highlight of the Festival des Etoilés Monte-Carlo was and is the grand closing evening. In the spirit of the Grand Art de Vivre, it invites you to enjoy culinary artistry and unique moments in prestigious venues of the Principality. In 2022, the Salle des arts at One Monte-Carlo was chosen as the haute cuisine venue.
The festival finale saw such renowned chefs as Yannick Alléno, Alain Ducasse, Dominique Lory and Marcel Ravin. Perfectly matched wine pairings were provided by head sommeliers Franck Damatte, Maxime Pastor, Patrice Franck and Gérard Veyrat. The noble drops were brought out from the largest hotel wine cellar in the world at the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo.
After a cocktail by the mixologists in the Hauser & Wirth gallery, which took place in the heart of the Roni Horn exhibition, they were invited to the gala dinner in the Salle des Art. To the musical backdrop of the Mack Mackenzie Septet, the 140 guests present were served an outstanding four-star menu. Dishes such as Gamberoni of San Remo with myrtle and shrimp coral, frozen pumpkin kefir or Gisèle Taxil Quitte Granita with Faisselle Sorbet proved that the Michelin-starred chefs gave free rein to their creativity. A delicious conclusion that already has us looking forward to 2023 with great anticipation.
