After the Award for the best SPA 2022 , DAS EDELWEISS Salzburg Mountain Resort can be pleased about another award. The head sommelier of the house Benjamin Zimmerling brought home the vice state champion title of the sommeliers.

The Tyrolean-born sommelier is not a new face in the sommelier scene, this year he was listed in Rolling Pin's 50 Best Sommeliers. In 2018, he made it to the finals of Rolling Pin's "Best Sommelier 2018" award and the semi-finals of "Austria's Best Sommelier 2018". Another international award is his third place in the "JSS Sake Pairing Contest 2021". As the sommelier of the house at DAS EDELWEISS, he is the first point of contact when it comes to the perfect wine and sake pairing. With over 10,000 bottles in the wine cellar of the 5-star hotel, the choice is often not easy.
