Corona-free zone: La Val Hotel & Spa offers its guests virus- and germ-free air
Swiss hotel takes special additional measures.

La Val Hotel & Spa, a four-star superior hotel in the mountain village of Brigels, has taken special additional measures for its guests to ensure a safe stay. As the only hotel in the Switzerland La Val invested in 12 high-tech air purifiers, which were produced on the basis of the latest research by the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich and ensure over 99% virus-free air. In addition, the rooms and suites of the hotel are fogged after each guest and thus kept germ-free.
Special measures are designed to ensure a relaxing luxury holiday
Travelling is not always that easy in times like these. In order to still be able to enjoy a relaxed holiday, the La Val Hotel in Switzerland offers its guests special measures. In addition to the usual protective measures, the four-star hotel puts safety first and has invested in the latest high-performance air purifiers. The University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich, together with the German company Trotec, has developed a high-performance filter that is designed to contain the risk of infection by means of specially manufactured aerosol filtration.
Professor Dr. Christian J. Kähler, working at the University of the Federal Armed Forces Munich in the Institute of Fluid Mechanics and Aerodynamics, rates the effectiveness of the Trotec device as very good: "If these filters are in operation and an infected person enters the room, infection is not possible." According to the measurement results of the flow researchers, the devices can rid rooms of 99.9% of a dangerous viral load. Germs remaining in the filter are killed by heat. However, masks should not be dispensed with, as they direct the aerosol flow upwards or to the side - especially if the minimum distance cannot be maintained.
Out of the crisis with additional measures
In addition to the 12 high-tech air purifiers, rooms and suites at La Val Hotel & Spa are fogged after each guest, professionally disinfecting them. "Maybe our Covid19 prevention is a bit exaggerated, but our motto this winter is: Better safe than sorry!" says La Val chef Rudolf Möller.
