Architecturally exciting

The second branch of the Conrad Hotels & Resorts brand is not only a top tip thanks to its location. It's also quite spectacularly designed. The twelve floors are arranged on top of each other in a cascade - almost like an organic structure. A large skylight provides the additional wow effect. It's probably no exaggeration to say that the legendary architect John Portman has outdone himself here. It almost seems as if the American, who died in 2017, has created a monument to himself.

The hotel has now been extensively renovated and completely redesigned. Local creatives and artists are now bringing the interior to life. And so guests can wander through the hotel like through a gallery. Contemporary works by up-and-coming local artists can be admired alongside world-famous sculptures. For example, Harmony Fountain by Stephanie Scuris or Singapore Shower by Michio Iharas. Like the building itself, the art collection takes nature as its theme.

Following the redesign, guests can choose from 445 rooms. Here too, the botanical theme runs like a green thread through the concept. The design is dominated by earthy tones and natural colors. Think green, sand and beige. Lots of plants and illustrations of the local flora complete the look. The highlight of the 26 suites is the 210 square meter Conrad Suite with a steam shower and a kitchenette.

During the day, you can explore the lively city, work out in the fitness center or relax with a cool drink in the Manhattan. The bar is one of the best in the world and is home to the hotel's first own rickhouse. Enjoy first-class afternoon tea in the Tea Lounge. The Conrad Singapore Orchard also has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine. Italian cuisine is served in the Basilico and the Dolcetto. And the Summer Palace, which has been awarded two Michelin stars, is dedicated to Cantonese cuisine.
