The history behind the iconic building that recently welcomed guests as Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam is a long one. Located in the heart of the Dutch capital, the hotel welcomed its first guests as early as 1856 - albeit as a small coffee house. In the course of its history, it became first a restaurant, then a hotel. As part of Anantara's European portfolio, it pampers its guests with luxury, a spa, and new rooms and suites.

Stylish through and through
The location couldn't be nicer. The Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam is located on the central Dam Square. The view from here falls on the royal palace. Reminiscent of its origins on the outside, it scores points with timeless elegance on the inside.

Highlights of the Anantara Amsterdam are the Presidential Suite and the Royal Suite. Both suites offer 70 and 150 square meters of space, respectively – suitable even for larger families. They delight with views of the Dam and the Royal Palace. The other rooms are stylish symbioses of modern elegance and Dutch heritage as well.
Anantara Experiences
The exclusive experiences that the Thai hotel group offers guests around the world are part of its brand identity. In Amsterdam, they are reflected in culinary excursions and private tastings of typical local specialties, among other things. Expert-led discovery tours through the museum district, trips to the tulip fields or to the picturesque fishing village of Volendam complete the offer.

For an exceptional culinary experience, you don't even have to leave the hotel. The gourmet restaurant The White Room has been awarded a Michelin star. Dutch chef Jacob Jan Boerma spoils guests with creative interpretations of classic fare. The founder of the house has not been forgotten: Krasnopolsky is memorialized in the award-winning bar The Tailor.
Thai spa tradition
Anantara, known for its wellness traditions, will also bring them to Amsterdam. At the Anantara Spa, wellness experts pamper guests with treatments and massages in three treatment rooms. A Finnish sauna and an infrared sauna provide deep relaxation. In the relaxation room guests can enjoy views of the garden and the relaxing atmosphere in the heart of the hotel.
