The Aman brand was founded in 1988 following a specific vision. They wanted to create intimate retreats where travelers felt like guests in a private home. It all started with the legendary Amanpuri on the Thai island of Phuket. Over the years, 35 more resorts followed in the most beautiful places in the world.

The surroundings are always spectacular. Be it the stone desert of Utah, the big city life of Tokyo or the rainforest of Indonesia. However, the vibe always remains that of an unobtrusive oasis of calm. After all, the name Aman comes from Sanskrit and means peace. And this is also what guests can look forward to at the brand new Aman Beverly Hills .

Ambitious project

Following the ground-breaking ceremony that has just taken place, the new building in the USA is due to be completed in just three years. Its opening is planned for 2027. The so-called One Beverly Hills was chosen as the location. This is a 17.5 hectare area between Wilshire Boulevard and Santa Monica Boulevard. Cain International and Alagem Capital are developing a new, exclusive neighborhood here.

The architectural implementation is being handled by Kerry Hill Architects (KHA). Aman has been working with the Singapore-based architecture firm for a long time. For example, the Amankora in Bhutan (opened in 2007), the Aman Tokyo (2015) and the Aman Kyoto (2019) were designed by KHA. As with the planning of the previous projects, the architecture firm wants to take a context-sensitive approach. In other words, the essence of Aman merges with the local conditions.

Asian design with a European expression

Translated to the new Aman Beverly Hills, this means that the vibrant layers of the city are incorporated into the design, as is the urban vibe of Los Angeles. One means to an end is the use of natural materials. Stone, wood and glass, for example. Lots of greenery all around and views of the city are a contrast that supports the design.

"Aman Beverly Hills captures the essence of the Aman lifestyle with its minimalist aesthetic, based on Asian design with European expression, and will be our fifth urban destination after Aman Nai Lert Bangkok (2024) and Aman Miami Beach (2026)," so Vlad Doronin, Chairman and CEO of the Aman Group. By 2027, a 78-suite hotel, several private residences and an Aman Club covering several thousand square meters are to be built. The latter will be home to Aman's wellness facilities.
