Unforgettable events for connoisseurs
In addition to the gourmet ski safari, Alta Badia offers the "SunRisa" breakfast on the slopes on 23 December and the "Wine Ski Safari" on 23 March, where wine lovers can taste South Tyrolean wines. Skiers can enjoy the tranquillity of the early morning or taste exclusive wines at mountain huts at an altitude of around 2100 meters. Other highlights such as the "Sommelier on the Slopes" and the "Roda dles Saus" events allow visitors to experience Ladin cuisine and culture in a special way. One of the culinary highlights in the valley is the "Innkeeper on the Ice" on 30 January at the frozen Lake Sompunt, where South Tyrolean specialties are served on ice skates. With a bit of luck, the Enrosadira will be the icing on the cake – that's what the locals call this amazing natural spectacle, during which the mountains glow in red, orange and pink light in the evening.
