Where to stay

Parco dei Sesi

To protect yourself from the scorching sun, the island's first inhabitants built arched stone huts called Sesi. Now, guests can marvel at the contrasts of Pantelleria in 13 such suites or rooms: the green palms against the dark stones, the bright sky contrasting with the shaded accommodations. Inside, light colors and almost cubist shapes dominate, along with charming boho-chic touches, featuring rustic, endless tables and mesmerizing mosaic floors.

Seven of the typical Dammusi on the grounds of "Tenuta Borgia" have been converted into luxurious retreats, some equipped with private swimming pools, all offering heavenly tranquility. From the hilltop, the view stretches over the sea and mountains—on the estate, wine and olives are grown, and guests can take home the products made from them as souvenirs. By the way, "Tenuta Borgia" was a filming location for the movie A Bigger Splash, starring Hollywood actors Tilda Swinton and Ralph Fiennes.
