Berlin has so much to offer. Influencer Caro Daur knows this too. On instagram, she recently revealed her favorite things about the German capital.

Art: Visit galleries

If you want to see art, you have to go to galleries. So far, so clear. In this respect, influencer Caro Daur recommends the Old and New National Gallery and Boros Bunker. By the latter, she means the SBoros Collection. It's a private collection of contemporary art, including works by international artists from the 1990s to the present day. It's housed in the Reichsbahnbunker Friedrichstraße, which was built in 1942 as a shelter for the civilian population.

The Alte Nationalgalerie currently houses around 2,000 paintings and just as many sculptures. As a permanent exhibition, the art of the 19th century can be admired here. Think Adolph Menzel, Dora Hitz, Franz von Stuck, Renoir, Manet, Monet, Degas and Cézanne. The Neue Nationalgalerie is also one of the top things to do in Berlin. Here, you can admire works by Warhol, Richter, Mattheuer and Brus.

Culture: Museum Island

If you're interested in culture, you should definitely put Museum Island on your list of things to do. This is not only home to the Alte Nationalgalerie, but also a number of other cultural institutions. Nestled between the Spree and Spree Canal, even the historic buildings in which they are housed are worth seeing. Designed by five architects, the ensemble was completed in 1930.

Since then, millions of visitors have come every year. It has even been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999. In the visitor center, the James Simon Gallery, you can learn all kinds of exciting things. It also serves as the central entry point for four of the five museums. If you like, you can also stroll through the Colonnade Courtyard with its sculptures and linger in the associated public park.

Shopping: From new to vintage

70 shopping centers and shopping malls invite you to spend your money. There are also plenty of shopping streets and small, hidden boutiques. Caro Daur's Things to Do in Berlin include a visit to Andreas Murkudis. Three stores in the capital invite you to purchase the finest designer goods. His concept stores are considered pioneers. The former managing director of the Museum der Dinge (a design museum) opened his first store 20 years ago. To this day, he selects his goods personally.

Caro Daur can find designer fashion goods at Voo Store Berlin. The selection here ranges from Aesop and Birkenstock to Dr. Martens, Jil Sander and Miu Miu to Oakley, Prada and Y/Project. Beauty products, shoes, handbags, accessories and, of course, clothing in all variations are on sale here. Vintage lovers should take a look at Das Neue Schwarz. The vintage store has already won awards for its great selection. Pre-loved fashion is not only more sustainable, it's simply a trend.

Nightclubs: Party till dawn

Caro Daur's Things to Do in Berlin list includes the legendary Berghain. There's not really much more to say about it, except: take cash with you. And the party (still) goes on from Saturday evening to Monday morning. Despite the rumors in 2022 that the club would close, the music booms as loud as ever from the speakers.

In Berlin-Treptow, you can party to techno beats at the Club of Visionaries . By the way: you can also eat pretty good pizza here. The buzz at Sisyphos is relaxed and cheerful. Pop-up performances, workshops, concerts, techno yoga and sing-along activities make it a pleasantly "different" club.
