Location

This five-star hotel could not be more ideally located: The famous Harrods department store and Hyde Park are just a few minutes' walk away. The neighborhood of Knightsbridge boasts beautiful villas and numerous high-end boutiques. Culture vultures will enjoy the proximity to the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Natural History Museum. Well-connected to London's public transport network, you can reach all major sightseeing attractions quickly and comfortably from Carlton Tower. Right in front of the hotel you'll find Cadogan Place Park, a welcome bit of greenery in this exclusive residential district.

The rooms

The 186 rooms and suites are decorated with timeless elegance and a blend of classic and modern aesthetics. All rooms were updated and overhauled during the renovation, with the bathrooms awash in light marble with gold accents. The beauty products come from Grown Alchemist and can be purchased directly from the hotel. A well-stocked bar – with a tea menu, naturally – and Dyson hair care products round out the in-room amenities. One Highlight: many suites have a small balcony, allowing you to enjoy the sun and a breathtaking view. For those who don't want to leave their room, there's a wide selection of in-room breakfast and dining options via room service.

Food and drink

The Carlton Tower's signature restaurant is the "Al Mare". This is where breakfast is served each morning – gladly à la carte, but there's also a buffet with homemade bread, desserts, cereals, and much more on offer. In the evening, the finest Mediterranean cuisine takes you on a journey to the French Riviera and the Italian coast. The fish dishes are first-rate, as is the wine list. Thanks to the windows into the kitchen, you can even watch your food being prepared. On warm summer evenings, it's best to reserve a seat on the terrace; a private dining room is available for closed events. The bar is a great place to end the evening on a high note with cocktails and drinks.

Additionally, the lounge-like Chinoiserie offers all-day dining, featuring international classics, an extensive drinks menu and a relaxed atmosphere. Right next door is the Afternoon Tea Room, which boasts a very special treat for those with a sweet tooth: Patissière Jessica Prealpato, the "World's Best Pastry Chef" in 2019 and Gault & Millau's "Pastry Chef of the Year" for 2020 is responsible for all sweets. What makes her creations so special? She manages to avoid sugar altogether in all her desserts! Not that you'd ever notice in any of her sublime confections.
