This sight should not be missed: The Basilica La Sagrada Familia is the landmark of Barcelona and the most important sight of the Spanish Mediterranean metropolis. The building was designed by Antoni Gaudi in the Catalan Art Nouveau style, also called Modernisme, and is still unfinished today. Construction began in 1882 and completion is planned for 2026 on the 100th anniversary of Gaudi's death.
