For the ninth time in a row, the insurance company Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection has published its annual safety report. On the one hand, the individual perception of travelers was evaluated. Especially if they belong to an underrepresented group. And on the other hand, measurable factors such as data from the Global Peace Index or GeoSure evaluations. The study has now identified the following countries as the five safest travel destinations in 2024:

5: Netherlands

When you think of a vacation in the Netherlands, images of blossoming tulip fields automatically come to your mind. But the canals of Amsterdam or the port of Rotterdam also promise a varied break. Numerous beaches, small cafés and interesting cafés invite you to relax and unwind. And you can do that here with a clear conscience. After all, the Netherlands is considered one of the five safest travel destinations in 2024, at least if you believe the BHTP report. Of course, it's advisable to stay alert in the larger cities and keep an eye on your valuables.

4: Ireland

Second place on the list of the safest travel destinations in 2024 comes as no surprise. After all, Switzerland's impeccable reputation precedes it. Nature, vastness and tranquillity are probably the best words to describe this outdoor paradise. Diverse landscapes and varied flora and fauna are just as attractive as friendly residents and large cities. For example Vancouver, Toronto or Montreal.
