Let's be frank: It's never warm in Iceland. But even by Icelandic standards, the island is probably one of the coolest destinations in November. So why go now? Because thanks to the clear and dark November nights, you have excellent chances to see auroras. The green veils dancing in the night sky are an extraordinary phenomenon. Now, we can't guarantee aurora borealis sightings for certain, but you'd have to be pretty unlucky to not see any northern lights.

London is supposed to be one of the best destinations in November? Yes! Hardly any city is as romantic in the run-up to Christmas as the city on the Thames. However, winter wonderlands, festive lights and the like also mean numerous tourists. So it's best to arrive right after the "lightswitch," which usually takes place at the beginning of November and marks the day when the city is illuminated in festive lights for the first time. Then it's off to afternoon tea, shopping at Harrod's and sightseeing. And the weather? It's always fickle in London anyway. But thanks to the Gulf Stream, it never gets all too cold.
