Five pink travel destinations: Not just for Barbie fans
The new Barbie movie is already a classic - and it hasn't even hit the big screen yet! Here are some pink destinations now shorten the wait.
July 11, 2023
Greta Gerwig's new movie with Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken will not premiere until July 20. But even prior its movie theater release, a literal hype has developed around the squeaky-pink cinematic pleasure. Pink wall paint is sold out, TAG Heuer has released a new Carrera Date with a pink dial (available around €3,200,-) and pink Corvettes are the cars of the moment. The only thing missing from the list is pink travel destinations.

Jaipur, India
On the Indian subcontinent, pink is considered the color of hospitality. For this reason, Maharajah Ram Sing had the entire city of Jaipur painted pink. The occasion was the visit of the Prince of Wales at the end of the 19th century. To this day, the palaces and buildings of the old city shine in different shades of pink. The enchanting sight is enhanced by the honeycomb-like architecture. Also unchanged is the fact that the people here are still considered particularly welcoming.

Tip: If you want to experience Jaipur, the famous "Palace of the Winds" and the "Highlights of the Golden Triangle" up close, you can do so in style on a 12-day tour with Enchanting Travels.
Las Coloradas, Mexico
Blue sky, white sand and pink water: Almost sounds unreal? This magical place is called "Las Coloradas" and is located on Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. The lagoon gets its unusual color from the beta carotene produced by the microorganisms, algae and saltwater crabs that live here. If you want, you can swim in the lagoon. Barbie would definitely be thrilled!

Tip: Las Coloradas is part of the 9-day trip "Mexico: Yucatan's Ruins" and can be booked from €3,090 per person via Enchanting Travels.
One&Only Desaru Coast, Malaysia
At the beautiful One&Only Resort Desaru Coast, travelers can now enjoy a special cooperation. Because until August 6 beats here the Dioriviera Pop-Up has pitched its tents. More precisely: luxurious beach cabanas and a shopping temple inside a giant sand castle. The Dior Café also wraps itself in the iconic colors of the Dioriviera Capsule Collection: pink, cream and Toile de Jouy motifs.

The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort, Hawaii
The iconic hotel in Waikiki, Honolulu, is also known as the Pink Palace. At first glance it is obvious why. The storied oceanfront resort has been around since 1927, pampering guests with private beachfront cabanas, luxurious rooms, and panoramic views of Diamond Head and the ocean. The resort consists of two building parts, the historic wing and the Mailani Tower. But it's not just the facade that's pink. Inside, too, the resort attracts visitors with numerous details in different shades of the color.

Tangsi Beach, Indonesia
There are only about ten pink beaches in the world. One of them is in Lombok, on the southeast coast. Its picturesque color is created because the sea washes fragments of red coral onto the sand. And there they mix with the white sand. The beach is open to the public and invites you to take some unforgettable photos. Call it #instagold!

Tip: The beach is about 2 hours drive from Mataram City. But you can also arrive by boat from Tanjung Luar Port.
