The villa on the shores of Lake Como dates back to the 18th century. Built by Count Andrea Lucini Passalacqua, it has already housed personalities such as Napoleon and Winston Churchill. The hotelier family De Santis wants to preserve the heritage of the villa. Thus, secret corridors, centuries-old beams, former stables and greenhouses have been preserved. In addition to 24 stylish suites, guests can expect a lakeside pool, outdoor gym, spa, yoga and farm-to-table cuisine, among other amenities. While everyone knows Bali, its sister island Sumba, only 50 minutes away by plane, is still rather unknown. Cap Karoso will open here at the end of 2022. It has set itself the goal of leaving as small an ecological footprint as possible. Electricity, for example, comes from solar panels.
