The top-class Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort on Aruba is located on the famous Eagle Beach and impresses not only with its magical location. The resort, founded by an Austrian, shines with its environmental commitment and was awarded the Climate Action Award by the United Nations in 2020.
One of the most sustainable hotels in the world
Austrian-born Ewald Biemans is the founder and managing director of the Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort He has lived in Aruba for over 50 years and founded the resort in 1987. Biemans became involved in environmental protection early on and did everything he could to make the resort as sustainable as possible. Nowadays, the Bucuti & Tara Resort is the first CO-2 neutral resort in the Caribbean - no other hotel in the region has as many environmental certifications, such as LEED Gold, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 or Travelife Gold.
With the win of the Global United Nations 2020 Climate Action Awards the hotel reached yet another milestone. The boutique hotel has taken measures that can also be implemented for other hotels and serves as a positive example to others. In this respect, it has an impact on the entire tourism industry.
A beach pearl on Aruba
The Adults Only Resort delights guests with its unique location on Aruba's expansive Eagle Beach. Virtually no other hotel on the island is located on a wider and more natural stretch of beach, so guests can look forward to particularly relaxing hours on the beach overlooking the azure sea. Privacy has always played a major role: several metres distances guests from each other on the beach.
The 104 rooms and suites of the hotel are divided into two different buildings, the Bucuti wing and the Tara wing. The latter comprises almost exclusively suites, which all offer an unobstructed and paradisiacal view of the sea. Three bungalow suites are also part of the Bucuti wing, in addition to the various room and suite categories.
Guests can look forward to fresh dishes prepared with locally sourced ingredients at the beachfront Elements restaurant, which serves European and Caribbean cuisine. At the SandBar, guests can enjoy delicious cocktails and much more with a view of the sea. The Senses restaurant offers a particularly private culinary experience, where guests enjoy a five to eight-course menu and interact directly with the chefs.
Tailor-made holiday experiences
Guests of the Bucuti & Tara Resort particularly appreciate how individually the holiday can be designed. Early on, the dedicated staff of the resort contact the guests and plan a completely individualized stay. Numerous special experiences can be arranged. These include private yoga classes at special locations on the island, bird-watching safaris, sunset cruises and much more. Twice a week, all guests can attend an outdoor movie night on the beach - free of charge.
