What's your favorite spot in Northern Italy?
The Parkhotel Holzner in Oberbozen, where I grew up, worked with my parents, began my apprenticeship, and shaped my entire being—both personally and professionally.

What's your favorite place in the world?
Always the place where I am at the moment. But I must say, I really love Andalusia.

What's at the top of your bucket list?
Staying curious, challenging myself, and when it comes to countries, South Korea is definitely at the top.

A book that has inspired you to travel?
Not a classic travel book, but the novel Bright Shiny Morning by James Frey, a sort of biography of Los Angeles. It tells the story of the city's beginnings, and it really makes you want to visit L.A.

What's your most memorable view?
There are several for me. For instance, standing on the Untersberg and looking out over Salzburg, standing on the cliffs near Albufeira in the Algarve and gazing at the Atlantic, or the view from the Burj Khalifa over Dubai—absolutely unforgettable.

Which three items are always in your suitcase?
My phone charger, my Kindle, and underwear.

What's the best meal at a vacation destination?
I’ve had countless culinary highlights. It always depends on the country or the specific location.

And what's your favorite meal?
I want something different every day.

Favorite meal in Northern Italy?
Red beet dumplings from Luis Rottensteiner at Patscheider Hof.
