This is made possible by the location of the beautiful family-run place. The Hotel Waldrast Dolomiti occupies a unique position at the edge of the forest, surrounded by trees at the foot of the Alpe di Siusi. The sounds of nature, silence and fresh air promise a vacation very close to nature. But it is also not far to the village of Siusi allo Sciliar with its stores and cafes.

And while retreats such as the WaldSPA provide quiet moments inside the hotel, adventure is on the agenda outside the door step. Because only a short walk away, the cable car Alpe di Siusi leads into the winter sports fun. The Alpe di Siusi-Gröden ski area, part of the Dolomiti Superski Carousel, with over 1,200 kilometers of slopes, guarantees varied fun on the slopes.

The pleasant side of winter

Away from the ski slopes, you can experience rapid downhills with the sled, go snowshoeing or winter hiking. Even in this regard it doesn't have to be "either - or". Because here the guests decide their preferences. Those who feel like company can join one of the free ski safaris or snowshoe hikes.

To ensure that the calorie account does not accidentally show a deficit at some point, the Plant family also provides its guests with only the best in culinary terms. Chef Patrick Plant's Alpine-Mediterranean cuisine is much praised. It is also always complimented by a good glas of wine. Because the wine cellar of the Hotel Waldrast Dolomiti has 160 labels of European winemakers in stock.

A place of relaxation for almost 100 years

Already in 1934, when Herta Knittel took over the guesthouse in Siusi allo Sciliar, the foundation stone was laid for the oasis of hospitality that the Hotel Waldrast Dolomiti is today. Already in the third and fourth generation, the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of hers are now at work. Each family member has found their niche and contribute their part in making the hotel a place of well-being for all.

The WaldSPA plays a substantial part in this. In the various pools, in the sauna, in the relaxation rooms and during expert treatments, everyday life remains a distant memory. The high-quality South Tyrolean products of VITALIS Dr. Joseph are used in all treatments. In addition, an essential protagonist is the forest that gives the hotel its name.
