A historical aura

Set within the historic walls of a former Augustinian monastery, the Hotel Klosterbräu combines the glorious past with a modern lifestyle. The charm of yesteryear is kept alive thanks to its original frescoes, the traditional cloister corridors and a stone wall that is over 500 years old. The roots of the luxury hotel go back to 1516, when Emperor Maximilian I laid the foundation for the Seefeld monastery. Augustinian monks lived here for over two centuries, sheltering pilgrims and noblemen and even brewing their own beer.

Introduced in the summer of 2023, the Nature Rooms & Suites have been setting new standards for sustainable vacations in the Alps. At the touch of a button, 95 % of electromagnetic radiation can be shielded. In addition, 95 % of the materials used are locally sourced. A special, environmentally- friendly floor structure and the use of wood from nearby forests underline the hotel's commitment to green, regional construction.

The Klosterbräu is one of the best wellness hotels in the Alps. The extensive wellness area sprawls over more than 3,500 square meters and offers five pools - including two heated outdoor pools with an Alpine panorama. There are also seven themed saunas, including the unique, completely hand-carved "Heiss-Zeit". A treatment with luxury cosmetics from Augustine Bader complements the experience: as part of the patented "Spiritual Spa YOUNIQUE®" concept, it was developed especially for the hotel. Not to mention their one-of-a-kind beer fountain, which invites you to refresh yourself after a hot sauna session.

At the hotel, guests can expect nine unique dining experiences, ranging from indulging within historic walls to dining amid contemporary design. Visitors can enjoy the hotel's homemade beer in the cozy pub, while the Romeo & Juliet balcony beckons with a "flying dinner" in a romantic atmosphere. The 500-year-old wine cellar offers exclusive tastings and anecdotes from the owner family's history, presented by host Alois Seyrling. The legendary steakhouse "Bräukeller Grill & Veggie" serves classic steaks as well as a variety of vegetarian options and is directly connected to the in-house brewery.

In winter, the monastery courtyard with its chic glass roof is the ideal location for dining under the stars. In addition to a show kitchen, fresh bread and pizza from the wood-fired oven are also on offer. The Vitalbistro in the bright winter garden entices guests with a delicious lunch on a spacious sun terrace with panoramic views during the summer months. For relaxed evenings, the hotel bar offers an elegant atmosphere. The vaulted dining room completes the offerings, featuring a rich gourmet breakfast and an exceptional 6-course menu in the evening, complemented by a daily salad and cheese buffet and a pasta station.

Owned by his family since 1809, Alois Seyrling and eight family members have carefully modernized the Hotel Klosterbräu. The effort paid off: In 1997, it became the first hotel in the region to be awarded five stars by the renowned hotel industry association. The Klosterbräu also emphasizes its ecological focurs, boasting its own vegetarian farm and a private petting zoo. With its outstanding service, culinary excellence and award-winning spa, the Klosterbräu not only meets the high expectations of a 5-star hotel, but creates unforgettable experiences.
